"This would be a 5 star but I agree with Todd C who rated 1 star for the exorbitant cost of replacement aluminum cleats ($100). I only used the boots 7 days and haves 2 missing cleats on 1 boot. And ll are significantly worn (visually) but did not notice reduced traction to date. I anticipate buying 2 sets of cleats per year to maintain stability, so cleat cost alone would = new purchase at 3 years. SIMMS needs to consider branding and resolve replacement costs so next purchases doesn't move to a competitors brand."

"Love the boots, comfortable & generally good quality. That said these pucks fall out. I kind of assume that's why Simms has discontinued them. Paying $100 for a replacement set is just not right. Simms should be replacing these at no or low cost. There is no way these cost $100 and the fact that Simms is likely making way over 50% margins on what is essentially a design defect really tells you what kind of company Simms has become. While I do like these boots except for the missing cleats they'll be the last Simms product I buy."

"The aluminum cleats work great for the first outing and then the edges get rounded and are terrible. I have to say though that the boots are the most comfortable wading boots I have ever owned."
Great tracktion but wear out too quickly
"The Simms G Pro Powerlock cleats are super grippy n slippery rocks and will save your behind when wading in "snot" rock. Maybe the best cleat in the industry I just wish they would last a little longer."

"Cleats Aluminium are very very bad, 1 fishing party with, all cleats are very used, and 1 lost also fixed so correct in shoes-> his emplacement of sole Vibram is damaged 😵"
Poor design and quality
"I paid $545. 17 for these boots. I wore them twice. The second time I hiked 2 miles into fish and three of the aluminum cleats had broken off. I have opened a return with Simms. I do not recommend these boots."
Disappointed
"I would write a review on the product, but I never received it. They sent the plastic cletes instead. I have contacted them through the web site a week ago...no reply...and tried calling. There I get a message saying they are having technical issues, please use the web site. Simms has always been good with customer service, but am not really pleased right now as this error is causing issues with a fishing trip my husband has planned very soon."
